Donald Manelli created and produced the Dogs, Cats & Kids video. Don is the former head
writer of the network television program, “Mutual of Omaha’s Wild Kingdom,” the most popular animal/adventure
series ever broadcast on American TV. “Wild Kingdom” won four Emmy Awards during its 25 year run – two of
them in the three years Don wrote the show. Don has written and produced hundreds of documentary films and videos in this
country and overseas. His work has earned more than 50 major awards in festivals around the world. Don’s
production company creates documentary films, videos and television programs and is based in Los Angeles.
Wayne Hunthausen, DVM was educational consultant for the video and appears in it. Wayne is an
internationally recognized authority on companion animal behavior. He is former president of the American
Veterinary Society of Animal Behavior and has written four books on the subject, which have been translated into
several languages. Wayne is a regular contributor to leading professional journals, companion animal publications and general
consumer media. He has been a frequent guest on network television and radio talk shows, and lectures to professional groups
the world over. Wayne operates a highly successful veterinary clinic and behavioral consulting practice in Kansas City.
